Start your new career as a Quality Inspector with MAU at SHL Medical in North Charleston, SC. As a Quality Inspector, you will assist the quality department with product inspections and validation testing to meet standards. You'll also provide support for the manufacturing team. This is a temporary 90-day assignment.
What We Offer: Pay of $23/hour + $2 shift differential First Shift | 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Third Shift | 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Health benefits, including telehealth medical services What We’re Looking For: High school diploma or GED required Associate degree in a technical discipline preferred 2+ years of experience in quality or manufacturing, ideally in the medical device, automotive, or aerospace industries Strong attention to detail and visual acuity Familiarity with product/component inspection, testing, and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is a plus Willingness to work overtime and weekends Ability to stand for the entire shift and walk frequently Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. What You’ll Do as a Quality Inspector: Conduct routine Incoming, In-Process, and Final Quality Control (IQC, IPQC, FQC) testing and inspections, documenting results accurately Perform and record testing in accordance with established protocols Operate inspection systems and tools (e.g., tensile strength machines, calipers, pin gauges) as inspection standards require Maintain and update databases and spreadsheets to track, monitor, and report departmental activities Ensure compliance with all QC procedures and plant-wide policies Demonstrate strong attention to detail in all tasks Perform additional duties as assigned
