Temp-to-Hire position$20.00 to $23.00 /hourFull Time work availableFirst Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:30pm)Inspect finished parts to determine if customer specifications have been met, including dimensions, part geometry, hardness, surface finish, quantity, etcInspect parts in-process, such as first article or last article, to determine if particular machining operation is yielding conforming parts.Select the correct device for ensuring accurate measurements based on the precision of the device: caliper, micrometer, or CMM, for example.Sign-off on Quality Verification Records (QVRs) for each job handled for in-process and final inspection. For aerospace and medical jobs, sign-off on NWT process sheets.For customer-provided QA report templates, ensure the appropriate form is completed and returned to the customer.Assist toolmakers with the inspection of set-ups or jobs in progress.Perform regular calibration verification of company-owned and employee-owned hand-held measuring devices.
Quality Inspector Qualifications:
Ability to properly operate hand-held measuring devices, such as micrometers, calipers, depth mics, bore gages, etc, and accurately measure within .0001” when required.Ability to program a CMM using PC-DMIS software or CMM Manager software. Ability to calibrate and properly maintain hand-held measuring devices.Comfortable standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 50lbs. Steel Toes are required. HS Diploma or GED Required.
