**Quality Inspector | Batavia, IL** **1st Shift $22/hr** **Overview** A metals manufacturing company in Batavia, IL is seeking to hire an experienced Quality Inspector for their 1st shift. You will be responsible for checking the quality of the raw material that comes into the plant and the finished products leaving the plant. Inspection of material coming in is mostly sheet metal and you will be checking that the quantities, thickness, and the material is what the sheet says it is (Stainless, Carbon, Aluminum, etc.). Products going out of the plant will be compared to blueprints, and the pieces will be measured based on these blueprints. Experience with Precision Measurement Instruments, blueprint interpretation, and metal manufacturing is ideal. The typical shift will be 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Monday - Friday. **Responsibilities** + Check the quality of raw materials coming into the plant. + Inspect materials such as sheet metal for proper quantities, thickness, and type (Stainless, Carbon, Aluminum, etc.). + Compare finished products leaving the plant to blueprints. + Measure pieces using micrometers, calipers, and gauges. + Document inspection results accordingly. **Skills** + 2+ Years of Quality Control Experience - Metals or Plastics + Experience using micrometers and calipers. + Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints. + Experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines). + Proficient in using Excel. + Experience with documentation and fabrication inspection. **Shift & Pay** + 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM + $20-$22/hr **Work Environment** + It is a true metal manufacturing environment - it can be noisy and dusty. + The company is not temperature-controlled. It gets warm in the hot summer months, especially near the paint line.
