Airswift is working with a leading company for a Quality Inspector job to work in Sabine Pass, TX for a 12-month contract with benefits!
Seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Inspector to ensure compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and company quality policies. The role focuses on the inspection of mechanical, stationary, and rotating equipment, as well as materials such as piping, LNG storage tanks, and other related equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of inspection methodologies, codes, and standards applicable to LNG facilities.

Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to Company’s safety standards and promote a safe working environment. Ensure all inspections are performed in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Inspection & Compliance: Conduct inspections of mechanical equipment, piping systems, LNG tanks, and rotating machinery to ensure they meet design and fabrication standards. Verify compliance with applicable codes, standards (e.g., ASME, API, ANSI), and project specifications. Testing & Verification: Perform non-destructive testing (NDT), including radiographic, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant inspections, as required. Witness pressure testing (hydrostatic and pneumatic) and ensure all testing is completed safely and according to specifications. Documentation: Review material test reports (MTRs), welding procedure specifications (WPS), and other fabrication records. Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and non-conformance reports (NCRs). Compile and submit inspection reports, ensuring traceability of materials and equipment. Field Oversight: Conduct on-site inspections during fabrication, construction, and installation of equipment and piping. Monitor contractor and subcontractor quality activities to ensure alignment with project quality requirements. Quality Assurance: Identify and document non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to address quality issues promptly.Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field preferred. Certifications in NDT (e.g., ASNT Level II or III) and welding inspection (e.g., AWS CWI) highly desirable. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality inspection of mechanical, stationary, and rotating equipment, preferably in the oil and gas or LNG sector. Demonstrated knowledge of piping systems, LNG tanks, and rotating equipment. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with codes and standards such as ASME Section VIII, API 650, API 620, ASME B31.3, and API 686. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, P&IDs, isometric drawings, and material specifications. Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software. Other Requirements: Willingness to work on-site at the LNG Terminal, Pipeline sites, and in vendor yards, as needed. Ability to work in challenging environments, including outdoor and confined spaces.Preferred:
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality system
• API 570 and / or API 573 certification
• Visual Testing (VT) Level II
• Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Shearwave Level II certification.
• NACE Level II or III
• Knowledge of galvanizing and coatings inspections.
