**Job Description**
A manufacturing company that supports Aerospace Defense and Commercial is seeking a Quality Inspector with experience in a fast-paced environment and small part inspection for rubber and silicone parts. This role is responsible for inspection and test requirements at all stages of manufacturing to ensure customer requirements are met. The Inspector will record and report any defects and ensure they are corrected before delivery to the customer. This position requires a committed member of the Quality and Production teams who is adaptable to changing roles within the Quality function.
**Responsibilities**
+ Carry out and coordinate all inspection and test requirements as outlined in the Quality Procedure Manual and contract requirements, including compliance with AS 9100.
+ Maintain relevant updated specifications, standards, and quality systems documents.
+ Perform assigned tests from first article to final inspection on materials and parts (product in process, and finished product).
+ Visually inspect utilizing GD&T knowledge and measuring tools (calipers, micrometer, etc.) for obvious defects.
+ Compare results with drawing and specification requirements.
+ Report problems with inspection and test results to the Quality Supervisor.
+ Record results on inspection forms or charts and report the number of defects found.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Working knowledge of Quality Assurance standards with GD&T and measuring tools (calipers, micrometer).
+ Ability to read blueprints with GD&T knowledge.
+ Knowledge of AS 9100 Quality Systems.
+ Ability to perform first article to final inspection.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with small part inspection for rubber and silicone parts.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.
+ Ability to communicate with all levels within Production and convey messages effectively.
+ Critical thinking and logical evaluation skills.
+ Persistence and determination in problem-solving.
+ Strong focus on quality and commitment to achieving total customer satisfaction.
+ Strong focus on safety, including personal safety, safety of co-workers, and protection of property.
+ Knowledge of calibration requirements/procedures.
+ Proficiency with computer-based applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.

**Work Environment**
Aerospace Manufacturing environment with exposure to machine noises and fumes. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, 1st shift starting at 6 or 7 am until 2:30 pm or 3:30 pm, with occasional after-shift hours.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brea, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
