**Aerotek Is Hiring For Quality Inspectors In Binghamton, NY**
**Job Description:** The Quality Inspector ensures products and services meet specifications and requirements, acting as the eyes of the customer. This role is crucial in communicating findings and ensuring quality processes support both customer and company needs.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Perform in-process and final inspections to confirm specifications.
+ Conduct incoming inspections on raw materials and subcontracted items.
+ Communicate adjustments and rework requirements for non-compliant materials.
+ Document inspection results on reports such as FAIR.
+ Conduct process audits and product inspections using various tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
+ Assist with calibration and database updates of inspection equipment.
+ Work with team members on corrective and preventative actions.
+ Provide support and training to production personnel on quality issues.
+ Cover departments including sheet metal fabrication, machining, welding, finishing, assembly, and final inspection.
**Essential Skills:**
+ Experience in a mechanical fabrication environment.
+ Excellent blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
+ Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good computer skills.
+ Ability to use precision measuring equipment.
+ Quick learner with strong problem-solving skills.
+ Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
+ Self-starter, detail-oriented, and proactive.
+ Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.

**Work Environment:**
+ Manufacturing setting with exposure to heavy equipment and machinery.
+ Frequent walking, standing, bending, and continuous movement.
+ Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
**Schedule:**
+ Monday to Friday.
+ 1st shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.
+ 2nd shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $26.00/hr.
