Quality Inspector
**Job Title: Quality Inspector** **Job Description** As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting dimensional and visual inspections and interpreting results according to documented work instructions, type design drawings, or other special requests. You will use a variety of inspection methods, including CMM, hand gaging, contrace/profile equipment, and optical equipment. You will also develop work instructions, perform CMM programming, troubleshooting, and validation of parts without complex geometries and tooling, and train other inspectors to complete repetitive inspections. Continuous improvement of CMM programs and inspection processes for quality improvement and cost reduction will be a key focus, along with supporting special projects or requests under the direction of Quality Management. **Responsibilities** + Conduct dimensional and visual inspections using various methods including CMM, hand gaging, contrace/profile equipment, and optical equipment. + Interpret results as they relate to documented work instructions, type design drawings, or other special requests. + Develop work instructions related to the work performed. + Perform CMM programming, troubleshooting, and validation of parts without complex geometries and tooling. + Train other inspectors to complete repetitive inspections. + Continuously improve CMM programs and inspection processes for quality improvement and cost reduction, including efficiency and cycle times. + Support special projects or requests at the direction of Quality Management. **Essential Skills** + Experience with Measuring Machine (CMM) and direct experience using Zeiss equipment with a rotary table preferred. + Programming experience with Zeiss Calypso, with experience in Curve and FreeForm preferred. + Experience with visual inspection and characterization of surface defects. + Experience with common gaging such as calipers, micrometers, bore gages, and height gages. + Knowledge of MS Office, with advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with contrace/profile equipment. + Experience with projection/comparator. + Experience with prior manufacturing execution systems. + Knowledge of AS9100/FAA quality system requirements. + Experience writing procedures, preparing quality plans, work instructions, and conducting internal audits. **Why Work Here?** We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a 401K with 8% matching, 16 holidays, 6 sick days, 4 personal days, and a plant shutdown in December with paid leave.
