Quality Inspector
**Job Title: Quality Assurance Inspector** **Job Description** A Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for inspecting products to ensure they meet client and customer policies. **Responsibilities** + Inspect and analyze products to ensure they meet customer specifications, quality requirements, and policies and procedures. + Operate and monitor the CMM to inspect products. + Effectively communicate with the proper personnel when products do not meet policy requirements. + Record accurate data and keep findings in accordance with policies and procedures. + Recommend changes in production methods to improve product quality. + Implement corrective actions, if necessary. + Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. **Essential Skills** + High School diploma or equivalent. + Communication and organization skills. + Manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and attention to detail. + Basic reading and math skills. + Time management and problem-solving skills. + Ability to acquire, retain, and apply job-related information to improve performance. + Ability to use precision measurement tools and read blueprints. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in inspection, quality control, quality assurance, and quality inspection. + Experience operating a CMM. + Ability to recommend production method changes. **Why Work Here?** We have quarterly cookouts for all employees, order breakfast for the staff every Friday, and recognize work anniversaries and birthdays. Our current owners started as employees and are actively involved in operations, even jumping in to help on the production line. **Work Environment** Shift (Day): Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm. Overtime may be required and sometimes optional. May need to work on Saturdays or weekends to complete jobs. The location has a total of 65 people. Each candidate has their own workbench and can sit down in a chair while working. The facility is temperature-controlled within 2 degrees of 68°F. Physical demands include standing, walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, carrying, and/or lifting parts from the floor to above the head, exerting 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly. Visual acuity is required to read measuring devices, machine gauges, drawings, notes, and equipment instruments. Working conditions involve high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, exposure to fumes, dust, mist, and skin exposure to oils, cleaning, and cutting fluids. Safety equipment is mandatory. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stevensville, Maryland. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
