Quality Inspector
**Quality Inspector** **Job Description** The Quality Inspector performs routine visual, mechanical, and electrical inspection of printed circuit boards, systems, and sub-assemblies to ensure quality compliance with required standards. There are two shifts available: a 4/10 schedule from Monday to Thursday (5 AM - 3:30 PM) with occasional Friday work, and another 4/10 schedule from Tuesday to Friday (5 AM - 3:30 PM) with occasional Monday work. **Responsibilities** + Work from detailed Process Sheets, Visual Aid Packages, Engineering Change Orders, Production Change Notices, and Critical Item Lists. + Inspect for proper positioning of components, soldering, markings, and other quality requirements. + Obtain and verify appropriate paperwork and necessary drawings for each job assignment. + Verify placement, polarity, and labels on circuit boards. + Use Defect Code List to identify defects and route boards to rework/repair facilities. + Perform minimal rework/repair duties as necessary. + Perform minimal hand solder operations on printed circuit board assemblies. + Complete necessary routing tasks per procedure. + Enter board and/or systems quantities into the Baan ERP system. + Input data into PFS. + Perform duties under close supervision. + Check configuration on all assemblies. + Provide timely feedback to other operations, management, and support engineering. + Follow and maintain accurate process documentation and recommend improvements. + Comply with all company policies and procedures. + Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. **Essential Skills** + At least 1 year of quality inspection experience, preferably in electronics. + Blueprint and schematic reading skills. + Proficiency with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. + Knowledge of IPC-610 and J-Standard. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 1+ years of experience in basic electronics manufacturing. + Experience with PIR, WPI, FPI, AOI. + 2+ years of advanced electronics inspection experience (e.g., AOI). + Ability to work on problems of moderate scope with a variety of factors. + Judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. + Building productive internal/external working relationships. + Utilizing optical equipment to determine acceptability of components and solder. + Operating sophisticated inspection equipment like the Nicolet X-ray machine and interpreting results. + Utilizing a majority of inspection tools available on the production floor. **Why Work Here?** Our company offers opportunities for growth and advancement, with potential to move from Level II to Level III Inspector and even to Quality Lead/Management roles. The facility is clean, fast-paced, and requires contractors to obtain necessary clearances. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SANTA ANA, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
