Job Description
Support and validate setup, in-process, and incoming inspection of components and products using optical and mechanical measurement or test equipment. Assist operators in reviewing and containing product quality by initiating reject (non-conforming) reports and leading containment activities. Participate in problem-solving and data-gathering activities to address quality and cost issues. Perform process and internal audits according to current QMS documents, process setups, and flow charts. Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, inspection plans, engineering drawings, and specifications. One year or more of inspection or related experience in a manufacturing environment. Be able to lift up to 35lbs. Working knowledge of basic math, basic statistics, and SPC.

Work Environment
Air-conditioned facility with a separate air filtration system. 19 machines and 8 people in the department. Expect lots of walking. Raises are based on contribution efforts such as attitude, attendance, and learning. Regular 1-on-1 reviews with employees. Safety program with rewards for reporting near misses or concerns. No holiday parties, but smaller events like Super Bowl celebrations. Employee appreciation week with daily snacks in early March.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Petersburg, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
