Quality Inspector
**Job Title: Quality Inspector** **Job Description** Our company manufactures non-invasive catheters and implants for various medical applications, including aortic, structural heart, neurovascular, cardiovascular, peripheral vascular, orthopedics, gastroenterology, and urology. The Quality Inspector I position is responsible for performing component and product inspection in the quality department, ensuring goods and services meet customer requirements for quality, quantity, and timeliness. **Responsibilities** + Confirm incoming materials meet purchase order specifications. + Prepare station for inspection, including organizing and cleaning the station. + Audit samples of in-process components, sub-assemblies, and final products to ensure they meet customer specifications, and provide documentation support. + Perform first article inspections and prepare appropriate reports. + Accurately fill in LHRs or forms in support of manufacturing, maintaining documents in accordance with the Quality Manual and all applicable work instructions. + Inform supervisor and/or Production Line Supervisor of issues or unanticipated non-conformances. + Advise supervisor in the event of needed tool or equipment repairs. + Maintain awareness of the impact of actions on product quality (defect awareness). + Identify and communicate defects to the supervisor and/or engineer through the reject log or direct communication. + Perform Lot release testing with assistance (e.g., engineer, higher-level inspector, etc.). + Maintain good working relationships with peers and co-workers. + Maintain identification of materials, tools, and procedures as the device is inspected. + Work overtime as required. + Perform line clearance audits. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Experience using inspection tools such as microscopes, calipers, micrometers, rulers, and tensile testers. + Strong quality background and inspection experience. + Good vision and ability to work with microscopes for extended periods. + Strong work ethic and dependability. + 2-5 years of inspection experience, preferably in the medical device industry. + Proficiency in computer use to support business system tracking and data entry. + Ability to fluently read, write, verbally communicate, and follow directions in English. + Ability to work an entire shift under a microscope and in a cleanroom environment. + Ability to organize and coordinate work efficiently, completing tasks and assignments as directed. + Skill in writing procedures, reports, and data entry. + Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. + Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. + Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and Adobe programs (PDFs). + Knowledgeable in the use of metrology measurement tools. + Demonstrate good judgment and maintain confidential information in accordance with company policy. + Ability to be trained on and retain knowledge needed to perform QA tasks effectively. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Medical device experience. + Experience working in a cleanroom environment. + Proficiency in using hand tools and small instruments. + Ability to work with blueprints and perform medical assembly tasks. **Why Work Here?** We offer paid lunch and breaks, optional overtime, competitive wages, health and dental insurance, company-paid vision, life, and disability insurance, 401k contributions, 18 days of PTO, paid holidays, MetLaw legal assistance, and a TeleDoc program. The work environment is clean, safe, and climate-controlled. Employees must wear appropriate cleanroom gowns, head/foot/hair coverings, and non-latex rubber gloves. The physical demands include sitting, standing, and using hands, arms, and fingers to perform routine tasks. Normal vision and hearing are required, along with the ability to communicate effectively. Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs is necessary. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, North Carolina. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
