Quality Inspector

**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong background in quality assurance, particularly within the metal fabrication industry. This role involves inspecting work-in-progress (WIP), inbound, and outbound parts, preparing detailed reports, and leading quality improvement initiatives.
**Responsibilities**
+ Inspect work-in-progress (WIP), inbound, and outbound parts.
+ Prepare First Article Reports.
+ Generate detailed, accurate reportsof all Quality Control inspections, results, corrective actions, recommended preventive actions, trend analyses, and compliance to contract requirements.
+ Utilize technical narratives, graphs, charts, spreadsheets, photographs, and other meansto effectively convey QC results to management.
+ Establish Quality KPIswith the goal of continuous improvement in all aspects.
+ Create and manage reportsto track internal and external KPIs.
+ Lead measurement of Total Cost of Quality (TCQ)and identify opportunities to reduce TCQ.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of two years of quality experience.
+ Proficient in in-process and final inspection.
+ Experience with calipers and micrometers.
+ Knowledge of sheet metal, dimensions, and GD&T.
+ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Strong clerical skillswith the ability to track multiple tasks and document critical information.
+ Detail-oriented with strong analytical problem-solving skills.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ BS in Engineering or an industrial/manufacturing-related field preferred.
+ Minimum of seven years in quality roles,with significant experience in Quality Engineering or Quality Management.
+ Experience in high-volume metal fabrication manufacturing operations.
+ Knowledge of stamping and spring processes.
+ Experience with ISO-9000 and AS9100 systems.
+ Working knowledge of core quality tools(APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA & PPAP, CAPA).
+ Hands-on and results-driven.

**Work Environment**
Machine shop environment with punching and stamping machines in operation. Work hours are Monday to Thursday from 7 am to 4:30 pm and Friday from 7 am to 11 am. Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as eye protection and hearing protection is available.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
