EBAD seeks an enthusiastic and motivated individual for the position of Electronics Quality Inspector, reporting to the Quality Engineering Lead- Electronics. This position is located in Simsbury, CT.

The Quality Inspector will primarily be responsible for the inspection of incoming materials, in-process assemblies, final assemblies, and completed manufacturing documentation for a variety of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies in support of the Electronics Value Stream. Responsibilities include:

Inspection of electronic components, bare PCBs, in-process and complete PCBAs, cable assemblies, deliverable assemblies, and all associated paperworkMeasurement of product to prove dimensional compliance and recording of inspection results in a clear and organized mannerReviewing manufacturing build records to assure that all steps have been properly documentedIn-process inspection of general workmanship and technical data package complianceProper documentation and control of non-conforming productSetup and maintain inspection cell in accordance with 5S principles

Requirements:

Review and acceptance of AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports provided by SuppliersStrong attention to detail for workmanship and accurate documentationAbility to create accurate records of inspections performed, and creation of discrepancy reportsPerform visual, dimensional, 1st piece and final inspection of detailed parts and assembliesAbility to work to procedures of little detail as well as follow procedures of strict detailMust be able to manage their time to accomplish assigned tasksMust be willing to travel 5% of the timeMust have a high school diploma

Preferred Skills:

Electronics Inspection Experience (Component Inspection, PCB Assembly, Electromechanical Assembly, and IPC & J-STD Specification Knowledge)IPC-A-610/IPC-A-620 Inspection Certification (current or previously held)Experience using/programming Hexagon CMM (PC-DMIS software)Experience using video measurement equipment (MicroVu, Thor, Optek, etc.)Experience using X-ray Fluorescence equipment (Fischerscope, CMI, etc.)
