Job Summary:
The In-Process Inspector ensures the quality and precision of aerospace components during the production process. This role is responsible for inspecting parts and assemblies at various stages of manufacturing, identifying defects, and ensuring compliance with company and aerospace industry standards and regulatory requirements. The In-Process Inspector work closely with production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

In-Process Inspection:Monitor and inspect aerospace parts and assemblies during manufacturing to ensure they meet specificationsConducting visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)Identify and documentInspect materials, components, and sub-assemblies for conformance to technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.Documentation and Reporting:Accurately document inspection results and non-conformances found.Prepare inspection reportsMaintain a comprehensive record of in-process inspectionsCollaboration with Production and Engineering Teams:Work closely with production operators, supervisors and engineers.Provide immediate feedback to the production team when non-conformances are foundCompliance with Aerospace Standards:Ensure strict compliance with company internal quality system requirementsEnsure all inspections, processes, and procedures adhere to internal quality requirements.Verify that documentation complies with internal quality requirements.Quality Control and Calibration:Ensure that inspection tools are calibratedPerform audits to ensure manufacturing processes comply with quality management system requirements.Safety and Regulatory Compliance:Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations, including personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.Identify and report potential hazards in the manufacturing process.Continuous Improvement:Recommend and assist implementing improvements. Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in aerospace quality control/inspection, manufacturing, or engineering are preferred.Previous experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry or a similar role within a highly regulated environment.Working knowledge of aerospace industry standards (AS9100, NADCAP, FAA regulations, etc.) and quality management systems.Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and inspection tools.Familiarity with technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications for aerospace components.Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and documentnon-conformances.Strong communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with teams.Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, sit, or walk for long periods.Ability to lift up to [X] lbs. when required for material handling.Comfort with working in a manufacturing environment with varying noise levels and temperature conditions.Ability to work in confined spaces or elevated areas, depending on the production setting.
