3rd shift Quality Inspector - XRAY

Title: Quality Inspector - X-Ray Operator

Reports to: NDT Supervisor/Manager 

Location: Mentor

Shift: 3rd

Requirements:                    

Able to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/quantityComfortable using a team approach to problem solving Have strong sense of urgency with the ability to work independently

Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisors

Able to work flexible hours 

 

Work Experience:            

Minimum of 1 year of experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment.

   

Responsibility: The X-Ray Operator will test parts for defects, and deviations from specifications. May use precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment.

 

Specific Duties:

Incumbent must handle hazardous waste in accordance with the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and company policy.

Perform system capability checks.

Process parts per applicable specifications.

Know practical theory and be familiar with and able to use manuals and source books for assistance in utilizing techniques.

Keep area clean and adhere to safety procedures.

Meet efficiency standards.

Move inventory when working on X-ray inventory

Stock cartons of new film and box exposed film for x-ray storage.

Perform additional duties assigned by department supervisor and/or Level III.

Records on a daily basis all work performed and correct distribution of work time identifying same by operational codes. Must follow number routing card in sequence.

Keeps work area clean, orderly, and in safe condition, following all safety rules.

Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.
