As an intern at Berry Global in the Consumer Packaging North America Division, you will participate in our Summer 2025 Leadership Series where you will have the opportunity to meet and learn from business leaders from across the organization. Project Overview: The goal of this project is to create a comprehensive defect book that documents various defects encountered in our products. This book will include detailed descriptions and high-quality images of each defect, categorized systematically for easy reference. The final product will serve as a valuable resource for our quality assurance team and other stakeholders including customers.
Responsibilities Data Collection:Gather information on defects from various sources, including quality assurance reports, customer feedback, and production logs.Take high-resolution photographs of each defect, ensuring clarity and detail.Categorization:Develop a categorization system for the defects based on type, severity, and frequency.Organize the collected data and images according to the established categories.Documentation:Write detailed descriptions for each defect, including possible causes, impact on the product, and any corrective actions taken.Ensure all information is accurate, clear, and concise.Publication:Design the layout of the defect book, incorporating both text and images in a visually appealing manner.Collaborate with the design team to finalize the book’s format and ensure it meets company standards.Publish the defect book in both digital and print formats.Daily Tasks:Perform measurement, testing and inspections to support the Quality Assurance Lab Qualifications Seeking degree in Process, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering; English / Technical Writing; Graphic Design or Visual Communications.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Proficiency in photography and image editing software.Excellent written communication skills.Basic knowledge of quality assurance processes.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
