Quality Lab Technician
Position Overview The Huntsville Manufacturing Plant is looking for a Quality Lab Technician who will provide precision quality support to the assembly and machining departments and assist with material analysis in the chemical and metrology labs. Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, finished goods, or stability samples. Schedule: 2nd Shift Monday Through Friday Morning 7:30 PM - 6:00 AM Pay: $21.25 Per Hour with a 6% Shift Differential Responsibilities Identify quality problems and recommend solutions Perform inspections on parts and engines with various systems. (Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), Faro arm, hand tools etc.) Calibrate, validate, and maintain/repair gage equipment Enter data into database system Perform sample prep and product and/or material testing Perform inspections and quality monitoring of product and process Conduct various liquid sampling testing Report results of testing and inspections to appropriate stakeholders and provide recommendations for improvement Monitor supplies to maintain inventory Implement new procedures/techniques for quality processes Maintain a clean and orderly work environment Demonstrate overall safe work behavior including the utilization of proper safety equipment and adhering to safety guidelines Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED At least two years of experience with related QA experience or training Additional Requirements Physical requirements (ability to the following for up to 10 hours per shift): Walk, sit, stand Lift, carry, push or pull up to 20 pounds Head/neck movement Reach outward or above the shoulder Exposure to constant and intermittent noise, fumes, smoke and gases, solvents, paint, grease and oils, radiant energy, and slippery surfaces At least two years of CMM and or gage calibration experience At least one year of experience in working in a high performance team environment At least two years of metal cutting machining experience At least two years of experience reading manufacturing blue prints At least two years of experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
