Looking for newly graduated candidates with a degree in Chemistry or related! Description: Lab Technician’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: • Assist in sample processing in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). • Issue and apply release stickers on approved raw materials and bulk products. • Calibrate lab equipment and maintain test equipment. • Perform routine equipment maintenance. • Maintain inventory and ensure proper levels of department supplies. • Ensure proper levels of department supplies. • Order, unpack, log and store supplies. • Assist in laboratory paperwork documenting information accurately and completely in a timely manner. • Log, label and process specimens and paperwork for testing. • Perform housekeeping and preventative maintenance of laboratory instruments. • Ensure the laboratory area is neat, clean and organized. • Maintain an awareness of cGMP, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), good housekeeping and safety in the laboratory. • Other duties as assigned. Skills: GMP, sample processing, pH meter, viscometer, Microsoft Office, Chemistry, Biology, good laboratory practices, SOP, quality control Additional Skills & Qualifications: • BA or BS Degree in Biological Science or Chemistry or combination of education and related experience. • High School Graduate or GED is required. • Experience in a laboratory or work in the cosmetology industry is preferred. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. • Knowledge of cGMP compliance. • Ability to prioritize, multitask and manage time well. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Attention to detail. • Reliable and punctual. • Ability to work cooperatively with team members and supervisors. • Ability to understand verbal and written directions.
