Quality Lab Technician
Job Title: Quality Lab Technician
Job Description

Perform lab testing on batch samples to ensure product conformance and specifications. Work with production personnel to make any batch adjustments if anything is off or not in spec. Perform tests such as pH, percent solids, manual titrations, viscosity testing, and other performance-based testing. Review Certificates of Analysis (COAs) of incoming raw materials and perform testing to confirm they are the correct products. Generate all necessary quality documentation for all laboratory and quality control testing, batch adjustments, and all necessary quality information that needs to be tracked for auditing purposes. Work with other internal personnel and auditors (when needed) to ensure quality is maintained, customer orders are correctly made, and any technical changes from R&D are adhered to. Ensure compliance with regulations such as FDA, EPA, OSHA, customer requirements, etc., and maintain all necessary information.

The position involves working in the lab and office area within the lab about 90% of the day. Approximately 10% of the time will be spent working with other internal personnel such as production, R&D, etc., to address process issues, audits, formula changes, or batch adjustments. Initial training will occur on the 1st shift (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) for the first month or two. Post-training, the schedule will shift to 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with potential variability where the person might start at 10:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. and/or work until 9:30 p.m. or 10:30 p.m. depending on workload and company needs. Typical hours are 40 to 45 per week, with additional overtime communicated in advance based on workload requirements.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $54080.00
