Job Title: Quality Lab TechnicianJob Description We are looking for a dedicated Quality Lab Technician who will be responsible for preparing, testing, and logging samples. This role involves performing analyses of samples using wet chemistry, metallurgical testing, and various other chemical tests on metals. Responsibilities + Prepare, test, and log samples. + Perform analysis of samples using wet chemistry techniques. + Conduct metallurgical testing on metals. + Execute various other chemical tests on metals. + Ensure all testing is performed according to standard operating procedures (SOPs). + Maintain and use laboratory glassware and equipment. + Log and document all test results accurately. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related science (Chemistry highly preferred). + Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience. + Proficiency in quality control (QC) testing. + Strong attention to detail. + Experience with chemical analysis. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in biochemistry or biology can be considered. + Ability to work in a laboratory setting following business casual dress code. + Flexibility to work both day and night shifts. Work Environment The role requires flexibility to work both day and night shifts on a rotating schedule (4 days on/4 days off; 7:30 AM - 8:00 PM or 7:30 PM - 8:00 AM). The facility is extensive, spanning 5 acres, with the primary work location being within the lab building. Business casual attire is expected, with a requirement for close-toed shoes and no high heels. As a union employee, shift preference can be discussed during the interview, but is not guaranteed. Additionally, there is room for growth within the company, which is a leading supplier of tantalum metals. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
