The current demand for growth in the UK Electricity Transmission and Distribution Sector is unprecedented since the last development of the super grid through the 1950’s and 60’s. The need is to ensure a sustainable and secure electrical power grid in the UK for generations to come. You may have passed by electricity transmission and distribution towers with little thought about the development and construction of them. However, there are teams in all parts of the UK designing, building and operating these critical assets. Here at Wood Transmission & Distribution we provide end-to-end design and construction of HV electricity routes (overhead lines and underground cables) and have supported the development of the UK’s National Grid since its inception, through multiple development phases, and we continue to deliver for the sectors most trusted customers. In support of this, Wood Transmission & Distribution are looking for a “Quality Lead” to join our team on the west-coast of Scotland, providing an exciting long-term career opportunity supporting the transition to a net zero future through the world-class development and construction of electricity transmission and distribution assets. This is a hybrid role which includes the ability to work from home, albeit regular travel to business’ facilities and worksites within their remit is required to provide the necessary support.
