Role Summary/Purpose

The Quality Leader develops and maintains systems, rules, and processes to ensure fulfillment of internal and external requirements and ensures that projects and products are capable and will meet specified standards (preventive). In this role you will require understanding of concepts, methods and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities

In addition, you will:

Utilize Business Process Management Systems (e.g. Quality Management Systems,Integrated Management Systems)Work to develop, implement, and monitor overall process mapping for quality improvement purposes.Standardize processes, tools and performance management systemResolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent.Work cross functionally with other members of the business unit.Communicate, support and integrate with direct team, manager, local operations leadership teamPresent to internal teams and leadership on metrics, project status and researchEnsure the plant’s production processes are executed per relevant specificationsIdentify process risks, implement appropriate control points and preventive measures, and execute process audits, to ensure effective process control and evidence of suchLead responsiveness – with a sense of curiosity and urgency - on customer quality and reliability related issuesWork closely with Manufacturing, Reliability Engineering, the Infancy team and the Services team to identify areas for focused product / process improvement actions and ensure those actions are implemented in a timely fashion and in an effective and sustainable mannerMeet Quality related financial objectivesEstimate requirements, prepare annual budget, schedule expenditures, analyze variances and initiate corrective actionsDevelop business metrics to accurately reflect performance and to effectively drive accountabilityCollect, analyze and summarize performance and drive improvement actions as appropriateControl and monitor the plant’s gage calibration program to ensure effectivenessCoordinate business updates on emerging issues and actions for closure.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years of experience in quality, engineering and / or project management)5+ Years in a manufacturing environmentProficient in MS Excel, MS PowerpointCritical thinker who is skilled in problem solvingProven track record of success in a self-directed work environmentAbility to work independently
