About the Role: We are looking for a Plant Quality Leader to join our team. In this role, you will ensure that quality standards are met and will be accountable for the overall performance of quality processes within the plant. A significant focus for you will be developing the quality team, improving quality processes and quality performance across all businesses. You will also interact and partner with a global team of quality leaders and you will be part of the Plant Leadership Team PU5.
The position will be located at our facility in Putzbrunn, Bavaria, with work from home days possible as part of a hybrid arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.
Responsibilities:
Lead the team of associates supporting the quality management system, quality assurance, and quality engineering at Putzbrunn; providing coaching on overall development with emphasis on quality functional excellence Provide quality guidance, coaching, and influence across other functions and supply chains. Ensure a meaningful and fair performance and development evaluation of the associates you are leading in the annual assessment and salary adjustment process Define clear objectives and priorities of the local quality team in alignment with broader strategies Ensure quality process ownership to improve quality processes (Nonconformance/CAPA, Document & Records, Change Control, and Audits) for the plant and confirm they meet business needs Ensure that products offered and supplied to customers conform to all contractual quality, technical and customer requirements Ensure that issues affecting the quality of products and processes are identified and addressed Continuously improve the quality system and ensure certification to applicable quality standards (IATF 16949 and ISO 9001) is maintained Support customer negotiations together with our contract expert on quality assurance agreements, as a quality process expert
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering or related degree Minimum of 5 years experience in a quality function with directly or indirectly leading of small teams, or leadership in a technical or operations team with a demonstrated passion for quality Demonstrated knowledge and experience with requirements from the IATF16949 and ISO9001 (with a demonstrated strength in Management of Change, Risk Assessment and Corrective Actions) or comparable quality Standards and sound functional knowledge with advance quality planning (APQP) and quality assurance work Demonstrated ability to successfully gain followership, lead teams, and enact organizational changes Strong verbal and written communication skills in German and English with the ability to influence and build trusting relationships across functional teams and regions Excellent prioritization, planning, and organizational skills with proven track record of consistently finishing projects, producing results, and driving sustainment Ability to establish and apply flexible processes to address a wide range of product, market, and business risk profiles Ability to travel approx. 5% with some international travel
