Quality Management Evaluator
Performs duties of safety, environmental, and radioactive material specialist for depot operations. Performs safety and environmental inspections, executes the safety program and is HAZMAT incident point of contact for host Environmental Office. Inspects HAZMAT spills and ensures compliance with spill response and containment team in the neutralization of spills. Ensures receipt, stow, issue and shipping processes are safe and meet all EPA, Federal, State, Host, and DLA requirements. Ensures close cooperation of depot with Host and DDC RPO/Environmental/Safety Offices. Works with little supervision. Reports directly and daily to Operations Director or immediately in event of safety or environmental concern. **Essential Responsibilities:** + Identifies, examines, classifies, inspects and reports on specific and general issues of safety, environmental, and radiation. Examinations may be visual or require measuring devices and techniques. + Able to use basic processes of inspection/examination procedures for material. + Able to read specifications, drawings, prints, schematics and photographs. + Able to successfully certify in Safety, HAZMAT and Radioactive training requirements. Must be current in all certifications within 30 to 60 days of selection for position. + Perform PPP&M pertaining to Radioactive material as required. + Prepare labels as required. + Prepare reports as required. + Operate tools and equipment in performance of duties. + Receive data from and input data to DSS and other automated systems in performance of duties. + Operate MHE (forklifts, warehouse tractor) as assigned and hold appropriate license. + Count, weigh, record data, apply tags and labels. + Able to make preventive maintenance adjustments to related equipment. + Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested. **Minimum Requirements** The Quality Management Evaluator shall have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in positions that requires + Managing a QMS Program as a primary duty Establishing quality management procedures Analyzing data to manage contractor performance and recommend changes + Performing and documenting QM surveillances of processes, procedures, and conformances to contract requirements + Assessing problem areas and executing corrective actions + Providing informal and formal training + Performing root cause analysis + Writing detailed reports Using MS Office software. + Performing safety inspections and correcting deficiencies + Performing job analysis + Assessing problem areas and executing corrective actions + Developing and providing Contractor-Provided training. + In addition, the resume for this position shall demonstrate: Experience where a thorough understanding was required of all Federal, State, and local regulations and Government Data Systems that include, but are not limited to: + 29 CFR Occupational Safety and Health, + DLAI 4145.11 Storage and Handling of Hazardous Materials, + DLAI 4145.25 Storage and Handling of Liquified and Gaseous + Compressed Gases, DoDI 6050.5 DoD Hazard Communication Program with specific focus on Safety Data Sheet (SDS) management. + Hazardous Materials Information Resource Systems (HMIRS)-H2. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
