QUALITY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST RN
+ DESCRIPTION OF POSITION + The Quality Management Specialist RN works collaboratively with leaders, physicians, and staff to improve processes and patient care. This may include facilitating continuous quality improvement teams/projects, assisting with implementation of improvement strategies, data design collection, measurement and analysis, meaningful communication/presentation of findings and improvement action plans to appropriate committees, entering data into databases, and medical record review. Also, he/she facilitates physician peer review and physician quality indicators. Participates in survey preparedness and all aspects of patient safety initiatives. May assist in the development of, management of, and implementation of order set and clinical practice guidelines for acute care patients. + QUALIFICATIONS + Professional/Educational + Current IL RN license. + Bachelor's degree required, or must obtain within 4 years of hire/transfer. + At least 2 years of recent clinical, performance improvement process, or medical record department experience preferred. + Computer literacy, keyboarding ability, and a broad-based knowledge of applications including Windows, word processing, database, spreadsheet, and graphics programs. + Certification in Quality (CPHQ) preferred. + DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required. + Personal + Assumes responsibility and demonstrates behaviors that uphold and promote the organizations mission, core values, and standards of caring. + Participates as requested in quality and performance improvement activities. + Demonstrates a commitment to quality service for physicians, staff, patients and visitors. + Adheres to organizational policies and procedures. + Strives to assure accuracy in data, work or information including for both internal and external customers. Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
