Job PurposeLead the activities of the quality department, manage the quality management system, implement continuous
improvements, ensure customer satisfaction and mentor the quality team at the Auburn Hills facility
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor degree in a technical field and / or 10 years quality engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment; ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Tech preferred. Detailed knowledge of ISO 9001:2000 & IATF16949. Management experience in a Union facility. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing. Expert level in leadership, team building, project planning, and problem solving and analytical skills. Experience in metallurgy, high complexity assembly, and OE warranty is preferred. Strong Knowledge in AIAG core tools; FMEA/PPAP/APQP/MSA and SPC. Computer proficiency in MS Office
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Compliant Pro PLM Database Working knowledge of Rockwell tester, calipers, and micrometers. Knowledge of quality tools/techniques (APQP, SPC, PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, TS-16949, 3 path 5 why, 8D etc). High proficiency in understanding math data, interpretation and part measurement
