ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Quality Manager will develop and oversee the quality assurance/quality control program at Baer Manufacturing, the manufacturing and fabrication division of Hunt Electric. + Own the document control process for the division + Develop, track, monitor, and improve both internal and external quality metrics + Develop a quality control training program + Define and monitor quality standards + Create and perform quality audits + Develop, track, and improve a Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) process for all quality related issues and occurrences (incoming and WIP) + Customer and Supplier point of contact for quality issues + QS Standards and Audit responsibility (ISO?) + Problem Solving, Subject Matter Expert and Trainer + Develop and implement a document and order control process + Directs and supervises all quality control employees + Confirms all the quality control work is being performed + Implements when and where the quality check is being performed in each area + Quality Manager to assist Quality Control Specialist on the floor as necessary + Works with Hunt Electric Leadership and Operations teams to keep the Baer workflow process efficient and up to date as changes occur within the company QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS + Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in business administration, manufacturing management, industrial engineering, or related field + 5+ years of experience in manufacturing quality assurance + Understanding and working knowledge of QMS (quality management systems,) preferably ISO 9001 and NCR processes + Able to create and manage division quality standards and SOPs for the division through effective written and verbal communication to QA/QC specialists, production managers, operations team members, and leadership + Able to read and interpret blueprints and other technical drawings from internal teams and customers + Able to adapt and find solutions to challenges in a rapidly growing manufacturing operation + Exemplifies the culture, core purpose, BHAG, and core values of the organization PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS + This job operates in a manufacturing setting. + Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) per warehouse requirements, including but not limited to, hard toe work boots, safety glasses, gloves and, high visibility vest. + This role occasionally uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers and fax machines. + Employees are frequently required to sit, stand, and occasionally required to bend, kneel, reach, stoop, or crouch. + This position may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
