Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Quality and Safety Manager to oversee and integrate our quality management systems and occupational safety programs. This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive quality and safety initiatives that ensure operational excellence while protecting our workforce. Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Management + Develop and maintain the company's quality management system, including documentation control and ISO procedures + Coordinate QA/QC activities across all projects and departments + Conduct internal and external quality audits + Verify contractor quality requirements and documentation submittals + Formulate quality control objectives aligned with production procedures + Monitor and analyze quality metrics to drive continuous improvement + Investigate and resolve customer quality concerns Safety Management + Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs to prevent occupational injuries, illnesses, and accidents + Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations + Identify and assess potential hazards and evaluate risk factors + Develop accident-prevention and loss-control systems + Compile and analyze safety statistics and prepare detailed reports + Maintain relationships with external safety organizations and emergency services + Manage emergency response procedures and protocols Leadership & Training + Develop and conduct quality and safety training programs for all employees + Manage and coordinate activities through subordinate supervisory personnel + Establish and maintain comprehensive quality and safety documentation systems + Create and maintain quality and safety metrics dashboards + Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions + Promote a culture of quality and safety excellence throughout the organization QualificationsEducation and Certifications + Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Safety, Quality Management, or related field + Required Certifications (at least one from each category): + Quality: Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) + Safety: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or related safety management certification Experience + Minimum 7 years of combined quality and safety management experience + Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing quality management systems + Proven track record in creating and managing workplace safety programs + Experience with quality and safety auditing processes Knowledge and Skills + Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations + Understanding of ISO standards and quality management principles + Strong analytical and risk assessment capabilities + Excellent project management and organizational skills + Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities + Proficiency with quality and safety management software + Strong leadership and team building capabilities + Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills Technology Requirements + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite + Experience with quality management and safety tracking software + Knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) Benefits + Competitive salary commensurate with experience + Comprehensive health benefits package + Paid vacation and holidays + Professional development opportunities + 401(k) retirement plan Equal Opportunity Statement SOL Engineering Services, LLC provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
