Summary: Coordinates and supervises divisions inspection and testing procedures for finished products. Recommends corrective action necessary to insure conformity with quality specifications and standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.\n
\n

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\n
\n\nFormulates and maintains quality control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.\nInterprets quality control philosophy to key personnel in organization.\nCoordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.\nProvides inspection activity for product throughout production cycle.\nApplies total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes within each department.\nDirects workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.\nDesigns and implements quality control training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers.\nInvestigates and corrects customer concerns regarding quality.\n\n

Supervisory Responsibilities \n

Directly supervises employees in the Quality Control Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.\n

Education and\/or Experience \n

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and three to five years related experience and\/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n
