POSITION OBJECTIVE: 

Marmon Foodservice Technologies is looking for a Quality Manager.  This role is responsible for plant-wide quality systems ensuring compliance to ISO management system requirements and keeping abreast of changes. The Quality Manager oversees quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and customer disruptions. The individual is accountable for working cross-functionally to lead and supervise the development of a total quality environment with an emphasis on unexcelled customer satisfaction and continual quality improvement. This position will provide operational and strategic value by helping the Organization to maintain, improve, and expand customer relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Lead customer complaints investigations and issues to determine root cause and implement corrective actions. Ensure that nonconforming products are detected, and that proper disposition and corrective/preventative actions are taken to prevent recurrence of nonconformities.Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, procurement, and manufacturing, to improve product design and production processes.Evaluate and analyze data to identify trends, performance metrics and areas for improvement.Develop, implement and maintain methods of tracking quality performance in terms of scrap/rework and customer complaints.Identify opportunities to qualify products and processes efficiently and effectively, constantly looking for improvements by driving projects or kaizen events to improve quality metrics.Developing, implementing, and improving core processes to ensure processes meet requirements.Provide hands on support to manufacturing departments.Oversee internal/external quality audits, customer audits and responses.Lead standardization of product inspection and testing methods to ensure compliance with customer and industry standards.Drive implementation of proactive quality improvement projects and problem-solving processes, including standard root cause analysis tools, that result in a reduction in customer complaints, focusing on quality products built right at first time.Drive a culture that prioritizes safety and quality through communication, action, and accountability.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

BS in Engineering or a related field required; advanced degree or professional manufacturing certification(s) is a plus.5+ years quality leadership experience in a manufacturing organization.Proven track record of building a team, managing change, streamlining processes, and driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements.Strong analytical, problem solving, delegation, and conflict resolution skills.Understanding of ISO9001 quality systems and requirements.Strong knowledge and application of lean principles.Excellent leadership and organizational skills.Six Sigma black belt or green belt certification a plusBroad knowledge of theory and principles of statistics and statistical process controlAPQP methodology required, including PPAP, FMEA, GR&R (Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility), Process Validation, and Control Plans.Lean Manufacturing and Six SigmaCertification by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is desired.
