Quality Manager
Job Title: Quality ManagerJob Description The Quality Manager is responsible for the leadership of the quality function and adherence to quality standards. This is a hands-on role with key focuses in the development and implementation of corporate strategy, technical performance, and process efficiency. The Quality Manager will promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization, set QA compliance objectives, and ensure targets are achieved. Responsibilities + Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization. + Set QA compliance objectives and ensure targets are achieved. + Bring together staff of different disciplines and drive the group to plan, formulate, and agree on comprehensive quality procedures. + Assess the product specifications of the company and its suppliers. + Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers. + Act as a liaison between customers and auditors to ensure the execution of corrective action and compliance with customer specifications. + Establish standards of service for customers or clients. + Ensure compliance with national and international standards and legislation. + Ensure tests and procedures are properly understood and executed. + Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures. + Collect and analyze performance data and charts. + Write technical and management systems reports. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. + 5+ years of Quality management experience. + 3+ years managing people. + Knowledge of automotive requirements or regulated environments (Aerospace/Medical Device). + GD&T and dimensional layouts. + Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). + Knowledge of ISO:9001, ISO14000, or TSI. + Corrective actions. + Previous project management experience. + Customer/supplier interaction experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Fasteners experience. + Root cause analysis. + Supplier quality. Work Environment The role involves working 4 days in the office and 1 day remotely. There is 25% travel required to locations such as Pittsburgh, Erie, Dayton, and some suppliers in the Midwest, with stays at these suppliers for 2-3 days at a time. All travel expenses are covered. The work environment includes a small office attached to a very clean lab with lab instruments, micrometers, calipers, gauges, and computers. There is also a large warehouse. The facility has 22 total employees. The role includes managing 6-8 direct reports, including Quality Engineers and lab supervisors. The products supplied include board hardware, bolts, cable ties and accessories, cold forming, extruded rubber, fan guards/shielding, labels/die cuts, nuts/washers/die casting, plastic moldings, rivets, screws, springs and wire forms, stampings, and wiring accessories. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $58.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
