Your role and responsibilitiesIn this position, you will establish and maintain a quality culture, controlling quality with systems, tools and teams to exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations.Reporting to the Production Unit Manager, you will be in charge of developing and maintaining the quality management system, managing all aspects in line with guidance from ABB Group/business area/ division. The work model for the role is: hybrid You will be mainly accountable for:• Deploys and leads strategy, objectives and targets for Quality Management in line with the Quality Management System, Quality Policy and local strategy. Leads and motivates Quality team, develops skills, sets clear goals, and ensures adequate resources to meet organizational needs.• Ensures a customer focused Quality Management in a highly effective (Customer Satisfaction) and efficient (Cost) way, including processes and tools to ensure flawless and repeatable product introduction, manufacturing and delivering, service or project execution, identification of gaps and potential for improvement. • Ensures the Voice of the Customer is represented at all levels in the organization, and that risks, problems and solutions are evaluated from a customer/stakeholder point of view. Drives resolution of customer cases to completion, following robust root cause analysis and corrective actions.• Performs audits and ensures the use of analytics of Quality data from all parts of the organization to identify risks, failures and non-conformances. Ensures that appropriate corrective and preventive actions are taken and solutions are managed to closure. Based on statistical process control prepares forecasts to anticipate future quality trends and potential issues, enabling proactive measures to maintain high standards.• Ensures, with the support of HR, that the Organization and the Quality teams are sustainably assessed, staffed, trained and developed. Actively promotes a work environment that stimulates talent development, passion for Quality, integrity in all the actions, and results orientation.• Maintain functioning of the Integrated Management System in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 i ISO 45001 and other critical certifications (IRIS - ISO/TS 22163). • Benchmarking within the industry, inside and outside ABB to continuously challenge the status quo and further develop the organizational self-perception.• Exemplify a safety-first mindset and ensure that the ABB HSE standards are applied, and that the location is a model of a world class healthy and safe working environment.
Qualifications for the roleAt least 5 years of experience in quality management, with industrial products.Leadership/managerial experience is required (direct line team management).Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Quality Management, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.Theoretical and practical knowledge in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).Lean Six Sigma, black belt certified (will be an asset).A collaborative, fact-based, solution-focused and customer oriented approach. Strong leader-ship skills to guide and inspire organization and own team towards achieving quality goals. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey quality standards and procedures. Fluency in English / German is beneficial. Experience in working in an international environment.
