POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Manager establishes, maintains, and monitors adherence to the quality assurance system including quality standards, inspections, test methods, and procedures. This role serves a vital part of the plant leadership team to improve our quality compliance, determining causes for non-conforming materials and components, and preventing similar occurrences.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establishes and maintains policy for documentation of all products
Reviews documentation before being sent to external customers
Implements ongoing quality improvement processes working with interdepartmental teams
Drives a data-based, proactive quality culture
Anticipates program release problems and takes corrective action to resolve and achieve commitments.
Evaluate, and oversee the monitoring of gages and measuring devices to detect non-conforming product
Ongoing observation of all in-process manufacturing levels and evaluation of their adherence to good and established quality standards
Constant evaluation, analysis, and continuous improvement of the present quality assurance system and procedures
Maintain history of records associated with listing agencies (CSA, IAPMO, and U.L.)
Forms teams for analyzing corrective actions for defective materials
Determines disposition of scrap and/or rework
Prepares Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) paperwork for customers
Develops and supervises Quality Engineer and Quality Supervisor
Coordinate efforts with suppliers to support new product development efforts and improvements with existing products
Maintain Non-Conforming Material Review (NCMR) database for supply base
Maintain good employee relations and communications
Performs other related duties as needed and assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field and 5 years experience in Quality Assurance (metal industry preferred)
Experience in ISO9001, Quality Audits, and Supplier Quality
Experience with implementing quality processes and systems (Control plans, PFMEAs, Corrective action process)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of supervisory experience in quality management or a related field
ASQ certification (CQT or CQE)
Proficiency in using quality management software and tools like Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and statistical analysis software
Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects
Familiarity with the plumbing industry and products

Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines
