Job Summary:

The Quality Manager is the lead facilitator of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality system through requirements definition and full compliance flow-down into value streams including employee training and awareness to assure safety, conformity and product reliability requirements are met This position provides quality leadership and has full responsibility for Quality at Fort Walton Beach Site regarding the Quality Management System (QMS), customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, for product life cycle from Product development, Production, Supply Chain to Product Support. The incumbent must be a proven effective quality leader with exceptional interpersonal skills, sense of urgency, demonstrated performance results and a continual improvement mindset.

Essential Functions:

Directly lead and manage functional quality organization on a day-to-day basis at FWB to meet all Aerospace AS9100 QMS requirements Lead Design Quality within Product Development Process by integrating organization, industry, and customer quality requirements into new design development projects using Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) based on AS9145 Effectively manages the supply base quality performance over the lifecycle (selection, qualification, management, monitoring and measurement. Ensure that the quality of purchased materials meets requirements and comply with applicable regulations. Establish a zero-defect culture by leading the deployment and continuous improvement of based on AS9145 Ensure the effectiveness of measurement and monitoring systems to achieve improvement in Site business key metrics and quality processes key metrics. Develop and implement a quality organizational structure capable of supporting the strategic initiatives and lead the efforts to integrate quality into development of short and long terms business plans. Establish proactive business impact for the quality function Led effort to define and train employees on root-cause analysis and problem-solving tools to identify effective corrective actions/process improvements Establish collection and analysis systems of statistical data to predict trends that will affect improvement of product quality Analyze and resolve customer complaints and field reliability issues. Coordinate product and component failure analysis. Drive corrective action, and inspection of all program hardware to J-STD-001 and IPC610 and documentation and supplier quality improvements

Minimum Qualifications:

 Experience: 5+ years Quality assurance experience in the defense, space electronics or high-end aerospace industry in either a management role or quality supervisor position; additional Automotive experience is a plus. Experience of design quality in product development. Education/Certification: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (EE-preferred, ME, MSc., Chem) from an accredited institution

Eligibility Requirement: This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government. Additionally, as a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants selected could be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strongly preferred experience with electronics manufacturing methods including IPC-610 Class 3 and IPC J-STD-001. Strongly preferred experience with APQP AS9145 – Process flow Diagram, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, Process Capability, SPC Preferred AS9100 Auditor experience Preferred experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
