ROLE DESCRIPTION
Monitoring and improvement to the Food Safety Systems HACCP / ISO / FSSC 22000 and meeting food safety standards Plans and coordinates internal quality audits Oversee and manage all external audits Ensure that foods are processed, packaged, and prepared according to specific standards Raise and manage internal and external audit findings, corrective actions and verification Oversee compliance to all regulatory and customer food safety mandates/ requirements Ensure employees adhere to all Food Safety Policies and lab practices QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant qualification in Food Science Minimum of 5 years of experience in a food safety role, preferably within the meat/poultry sector. Strong analytical skills In-depth knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety legislation relevant to South Africa. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality standards.
