Quality Material Technician Job Description As a Quality Material Technician, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and managing frozen tissue samples, supplies, and finished products in compliance with internal and external requirements. You will coordinate the timely and accurate flow of materials from warehouse inventory to production areas, ensuring the effectiveness of the quality system is maintained. Responsibilities + Receive, store, and verify tissue samples, supplies, and finished products. + Coordinate the flow of materials from warehouse inventory to production areas. + Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system. + Store, issue, or prepare samples, verifying lot number, quantity, release status, and other unique identifiers using good documentation practices. + Check materials against packaging lists, invoices, freight bills, or other pertinent documentation to ensure conformity and accuracy. + Deliver materials to processing areas in a timely manner and maintain proper flow of raw materials and other time-sensitive supplies. + Maintain and sustain organized workspaces for tissue, supplies, and finished goods. + Maintain accurate records and reconcile inventory errors. + Adhere to safety guidelines and be accountable for personal safety. + Supply materials to functional areas or move to and from incoming areas to maintain efficient shipping and receiving operations. + Comply with applicable FDA (GMP), USDA, OSHA regulations, and company policies, procedures, or guidelines. + Participate in daily stand-up meetings, continuous improvement projects, and adhere to established work practices such as Kanban signals and 5S initiatives. Essential Skills + Quality control + Data entry + Handling frozen tissue samples + Attention to detail + Good documentation practices Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma required; Associate's degree in Science preferred. + Experience handling tissue samples is a plus. + Prior medical or healthcare experience is a plus. + Experience in a regulated environment is a significant advantage. + Desire for long-term position. + Comfortable standing for long periods of time. + Ability to lift up to 35 pounds. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
