Summary: Seeking a Quality Mechanical Inspector for a temporary 3-month role to perform visual and mechanical inspections of incoming materials, machined parts, 3D printed parts, and mechanical sub-assemblies.
Job Requirements:
HS diploma or GED; 7+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Extensive knowledge of inspection techniques, GD&T tolerancing, and test equipment
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and component specifications
Start-up medical device experience and experience in a fast-paced development environment
Strong skills in word processing, spreadsheets, manufacturing, and database software
Preferred Skills:
Experience with CMM programs, Optical CMM programming, and fixturingJob Responsibilities:
Perform incoming, in-process, and finished goods inspections to ensure product meets design requirements
Conduct visual and mechanical inspections of materials and sub-assemblies to assure conformance to design specifications
Develop new inspection test methods and maintain Design History Files (DHF)
Maintain inspection logs, forms, test records, and present inspection quality metric data
Coordinate with Quality Engineering and Operations on quality trends
