Four Hands is one of the largest home furnishing distributors in Austin, TX. We operate out of seven locations with nearly 1,000,000 sqft of warehouse space. A role in our distribution center means being in the heart of getting products to our customers as quickly as possible. \n
As a Quality Returns Associate at Four Hands, you will be responsible for ensuring returned products are properly handled, inspected, and processed, maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency within our warehouse operations.
Shift time: 7am - 4pm
In This Role\nUnload trailers with returned products and items from local warehouse transfers \nPrepare trailers for outbound shipments to the outlet store, ensuring accuracy and organization\nInspect, document, and process returned products, assessing conditions and identifying issues such as splitting, broken components, finish defects, dents, scratches, or packaging concerns\nUtilize pad-wrapping techniques to protect products during transportation\nOperate inventory barcode scanners, hand tools, power tools, and packaging equipment with precision and care \nHandle and move products safely using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts \nRestore and repackage products to their original condition for resale or reuse\nPerform rework on damaged items, maintaining quality standards and attention to detail\nCorrespond with team members and management through Outlook Email to ensure smooth operations\nUphold our Core Values and be a valuable member of the Four Hands Team\nOther tasks as defined by Management\n
The Ideal Person\nHigh school diploma or GED required\nPrevious warehouse or distribution center environment is a plus \nExperience operating manual and electric material handling equipment, such as hand jacks\nBasic computer skills, including familiarity with warehouse management systems and Microsoft Excel\nAbility to lift 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day, and lift up to 225 lbs with assistance\nStrong attention to detail, follow-through, and communication skills\nWilling and able to work overtime as needed\nRequired to wear steel toed boots/shoes at all times during work hours\n
