The Quality RN & Educator is responsible for the coordination of the collection, evaluation, and dissemination of perinatal performance data relative to state and national perinatal quality improvement programs. Additionally, this role is also responsible for the education of staff and physicians on the metrics and standard of care relative to the perinatal quality improvement programs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Works in collaboration with the L&D department and quality department for data abstraction, analysis and presentationServes as a liaison for staff, leadership, and physicians for perinatal quality measuresCoordinates performance improvement activities focused on state and national perinatal initiativesEducates the clinical staff and physicians on measures and documentation for state and national perinatal initiatives. Communicates updates and changes in state and national perinatal quality improvement programs to clinical staff and physicians.Coordinates L&D specific competency skills fairDirects perinatal drills and/or simulations for high-risk clinical eventsAssists in clinical care of L&D patientsCoordinates prenatal classesEducation: Associates degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
License & Certification: La State RN license, CPR & ACLS required. RNC-OB preferred.
Experience: 3 years L&D RN experience required.
