Your Role:

 

In this role you will be a part of a small team responsible for performing complex analytical testing of inorganic materials on the following instrumentation: ICP-MS, ICP-OES, Karl Fischer, autotitrator, TGA-DSC, UV-VIS, and an oxygen analyzer.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Perform all work safely and in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and company guidelines.Communicate regularly with other departments to ensure on-time execution of QC lab deliverables.Work directly with and collaborate with other QC lab staff.Follow existing procedures and support the development of new procedures as the business dictates.Compute chemical calculations and conversions.Assist in the investigation of Out of Specification/Trend results and Customer Quality Complaints per site, corporate, customer, and regulatory requirements.Build and maintain specialized technical knowledge and expertise of most analytical/scientific methods or operational processes utilized within the lab.Independently lead project teams, support the work of other teams, and proactively consider the impact of quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and safety requirements when planning project activities.Develop process improvements and create efficiencies throughout the laboratory scope of work.

 

Physical Attributes:

Sit, stand, walk, for up to two hours at a time.  Reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, or crawl intermittently.Work in a dimly lit environment for extended periods of time.Work in a brightly lit laboratory environment with ambient equipment noise reaching 80db.Work for extended periods in a dry box.Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, hearing protection, respirators, and aprons.

 

Who You Are:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Chemistry and 4+ years of analytical lab experience.

OR

Masters Degree in Chemistry and 1+ years of analytical lab experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with analytical tools and instrumentation.Experience with safe chemical handling practices.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with analytical troubleshooting and method development.Experience with SAP.Experience with ISO 9001:2015 quality standards.Experience in a multi-product work environment.Experience in Semiconductor or high precision industry.Experience in the operation of and working within dry boxes.
