Job Description

The Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring that products, services, and processes within an organization

meet established quality standards by conducting inspections, analyzing data, identifying issues, and

implementing corrective actions to maintain high-quality levels.



Work Experience

• Acting SQF Practitioner

developed, managed, and maintained Food Safety/HACCP plans.

Conduct hazard analysis of process flows and ingredients.

Create process flow diagrams

Perform pc/CCP documentation verifications, deviation verification, and trending (metal detection, sanitation,

allergen control).

Management and maintenance of Sanitation/Allergen matrix.

Assist with product setup and allergen review.

Maintain gluten-free data and provide periodic submissions of data where required.

Support Supplier Approval Programs and Food Safety Plans by performing risk assessments

on each raw Material.

Support SQF/Food Safety/Quality programs where needed and back up as SQF Practitioner.

Provide support for customer documentation/desktop audits.

Provide support on Intentional Adulteration Plans.

Complete semi-annual food fraud assessments.

Quality food safety program and procedure reviews.

Assist with mock recalls

Member of food safety, food defense, HACCP, and recall teams.

Store and maintain all quality documents.

Maintain calibration records for all food safety devices.

Assist with daily GMP walk-throughs with the management team.

Other Primary Responsibilities

Conduct other pcQl activities as necessary.

Provide support during internal and external audits.Support certification programs as needed.Assist in the management of pest control programs and issuing corrective actions.Providing input as to improvement into QA, Iaboratoryand, and operational procedures.Provide Food safety leadership/expertise where needed.Assistintrainingprograms.Keep files/records organized to facilitate retrieval during audits.Other departmental tasks are assigned by the manager.Worksites may vary based on departmental needs. Local travel between neighboring sites may be required.

Education and Requirments:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of two years of experience in developing

Food Safety Plans are preferred.

HACCP and PCQl certification

SQF Practitioner.


Physical Requirements:

Individuals must have full range of motion,(sitting, standing, squatting, bending, reaching, etc.). May require

walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.

Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to file documents or store materials

throughout the workday.

Proper lifting techniques are required. This may include lifting.

The performance of this position requires exposure to the manufacturing areas and requires the use of personal

protective equipment such as safety glasses.
