Job Summary:

The Quality Inspector II will identify problems with workmanship or process damage while ensuring the quality of produced assemblies by physical and visual inspection to verify characteristic against predetermined specifications, drawings, or standards and communicate those issues with external and internal customers.  

Essential Functions:

Works from blueprints, customer drawings, engineering change notices, military standards, and established operating procedures to determine acceptance, rejection or rework requirements of assembled units or supplier componentsCommunicate effectivity via verbal and written forms to external and internal customers about inspection issues and schedulesConducts visual inspections with high level of accuracy to verify physical propertiesEnsures the build and test manufacturing process has been completedProactively communicates errors and systemic trends to the quality organizationEnters data into software tools (Heavy Data Entry into various software tools)Final Inspection and Receiving Inspection Any other task assigned by your supervisor or management

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of three years' experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment required that includes high customer service experience. Experience in Mechanical inspection and in First Article Inspection.Knowledge: Proficient with Microsoft Word and ExcelSkills/Abilities: Effective verbal and written communication skills; Competence to perform inspections using surface plates, calipers, thread gages, scales, micro-hite; General PC skills, including Word, Excel and Oracle; Ability to interpret drawings and part specifications; Accurate color vision and depth perception; Vision corrected to 20/20; Ability to work in a team oriented environment, including interfacing with Order Management, Internal Quality Engineers, Customers and other Internal Management personnelEducation/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent requiredEligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US persons will be considered.  As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). 

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with AS9100 standardsFamiliar with AS9102 First Article RequirementsExperience with CMM Electrical inspection IPC-610

Salary range: $29.37 to $37.38. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
