Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Quality Specialist.

What you’ll do:

Eaton is currently seeking a Quality Specialist. This position is based at our Airdrie, AB facility.


Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, this position coordinates and performs activities related to resolution of product warranty issues (issue determination and resolution, warranty authorization and order process, periodic reporting) and deploys the process that controls non-conforming material or product. This includes but is not limited to, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) or First Article Inspection, leading Returned Material Authorization (RMA) procedures and work instructions and performing technical troubleshooting of non-conforming material or product. In addition, the role will assist with the deployment of policies and procedures by conducting internal audits as per an established schedule, to help managers in putting corrective/preventive actions in place. The role will also work with the Quality team to manage the audit schedule, QMS documentation and other quality related tasks.

In this function you will:

•    Lead the deployment of product quality control processes, e.g., Non-conforming Material, Production Part Approval Process, First Article Inspection.
•    Implement, and improve Warranty Authorization and Order process, and both the customer and supplier aspects of Returned Material Authorization process.
•    Provide support to the Cost-out program.
•    Champion the resolution of supplier quality problems, containments and determining corrective actions.
•    Report Non-conforming Material trend data and resolve issues with appropriate stakeholders.
•    Document and maintain Non-conforming Material inspection and test records.
•    Perform minor repairs of defective materials.
•    Follow the Returned Material Authorization procedures and work instructions for in-coming or out-going product.
•    Meet daily and weekly requirements for recording/disposition of non-conforming material.
•    Maintain QMS system and support internal and external audit programs.
•    Perform other duties, as required.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

•    Post-secondary education (degree/diploma) in a relevant technical field.
•    Minimum 3 years’ experience in the implementation and operation of an ISO 9001 Quality Management System or Quality Assurance Customer Service experience.
•    Experience using Continuous Improvement methodologies.
•    This position does not offer relocation. Candidate must live within 80km of Airdrie. 
•    Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.


Preferred Qualifications:

•    Certified ISO 9001 Auditor.
•    Six Sigma Green Belt.
•    ASQ Certification.
•    Experience within the electrical manufacturing industry.
