Are you passionate about quality assurance and eager to make an impact in the aviation industry? PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a meticulous and proactive Quality Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you’ll help ensure the highest standards of quality in our products and operations, contributing directly to the success of aviation technologies and advancements.

Location: Colorado Springs, CO | Schedule: 1st shift, 8am to 5pm | Pay Rate: $40.78

Role Overview:

As a Quality Specialist, you’ll be an essential part of the team, responsible for performing detailed inspections of in-process and finished goods, conducting First Article Inspections, and leading key activities related to supplier corrective actions. You'll also drive root cause analysis and corrective action validation, ensuring that our products and processes meet the stringent standards required in aviation. Your work will be pivotal in enhancing product quality, minimizing risks, and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Inspections: Perform detailed product inspections on in-process and finished goods, including First Article Inspections.

Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Expertise: Utilize your qualifications to perform and program CMM functions for the Zeiss Contura machine.

Quality Notifications: Initiate quality notifications for any non-conforming products and support corrective actions.

Root Cause Analysis: Lead and validate root cause investigations and corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.

Preventive Actions: Identify potential quality issues early and assist in preventing them through proactive measures.

Documentation: Ensure precise and detailed documentation of product characteristics, inspections, and non-conformities.

Collaboration: Communicate effectively with other team members and departments to resolve quality issues and ensure smooth operations.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.

Proven experience in quality control and inspection within the aviation or manufacturing industry.

Proficiency in Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operations, particularly with Zeiss Contura machines.

Experience in programming, editing, and writing CMM programs, either manually or through software.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to document and communicate technical information effectively.

Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and industry standards.

Ability to work flexibly within the Quality department, supporting various tasks and processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

ASQ Certification or other industry-recognized certifications in Quality Control.

Familiarity with corrective action boards and managing escape management activities.

Previous experience with First Article Inspections and quality notifications.

Familiarity with industry-specific software tools used for inspection and quality assurance.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.



Pay Details: $40.78 per hour
