Under the direction of the Laboratory Medical Director and Laboratory Administrative Director, the Laboratory Quality Supervisor oversees the laboratory’s Quality Management (QM) programs applying to all laboratory services under the hospital’s operating licenses. The Quality Supervisor manages complex projects independently and in team environments, maintaining good working relationships with multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary staff.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Laboratory Medical Director and Laboratory Administrative Director, reviews and updates the laboratory’s Quality Management (QM) programs applying to all laboratory services under the hospital’s operating license. Provides a Quality Management reviews to the Laboratory Medical Director and Laboratory Administrative Director at least monthly and an annual assessment of the laboratory’s quality program. Analyzes and interprets written information and scientific data, compares against established requirements, identify potential discrepancies, and make suggestions for improvement. Including clearly communicating this information in a meaningful way to technical, non-technical, and non-laboratory individuals to achieve an appropriate level of understanding of information being presented.
