Primary Function

As the Quality Supervisor, you will develop, implement, and manage a quality control system to assure that all products manufactured by the organization meet established standards, customer specifications, production goals, and achieve superior quality and reliability levels. You will plan, implement, and monitor the activities of development, application, and maintenance of quality standards as well as manage the technicians and hourly quality assurance members of the quality team.

Role Specific Responsibilities Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards that meet quality and reliability expectancy of finished products. Work closely with raw material vendors, customers, quality representatives, and company personnel to maximize product reliability and minimize costs. Manage ISO 9001 system. Assists operations achieving measurable and sustainable improvement in key metrics such as efficiency, productivity and effectiveness of business and manufacturing processes. Tracks Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and Key Improvement Priorities (KIP’s).   Assures root cause analysis and countermeasures have been taken to address deficiencies. Primary user of SAP with responsibility for all QA-related functions Maintain a high level of customer service by investigating and correcting issues and complaints relating to quality. Quality Assurance of all sample submissions of new/improved products and engineering changes. Prepare all necessary reports as required by customers and staff personnel. Design, develop, and implement quality control training programs for all quality control staff. Supervise QA Technicians and Quality Auditors to ensure high productivity and product integrity throughout the production cycle. Lead/participate in lean initiatives. Be a Change Agent for Quality 4.0 Perform other activities as needed or as directed. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (double checking degree) 5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment and 2 years’ experience in quality and supervision Trade Certification, such as Certified Quality Engineer, preferred Demonstrated ability to evaluate and develop quality initiatives Strong working knowledge and application of Quality processes, procedures, and tools (SPC, Six Sigma, Statistical Analysis) Instructs others in continuous process improvements, including the use of various problem solving and productivity techniques such as process mapping and cost time management. Lean facilitation skills. Proficiency with computers and programs, specifically SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Mini-tab Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
