Quality Supervisor

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Quality Supervisor. This role is based out of our Waukesha, WI location. 

 

The supplier quality supervisor leads a team to meticulously secure top-quality supplies and parts for the assembly line. In addition to reviewing intricate engineering and manufacturing specifications, they meticulously monitor materials and subassemblies to detect and address any potential defects. Furthermore, is tasked with overseeing the entire spectrum of manufactured product quality, involving the creation of comprehensive documentation, the design of stringent quality tests, and the establishment of precise criteria for evaluating the performance of parts and subassemblies. Through close collaboration with a team of adept professionals, they prioritize ensuring that the final products unfailingly surpass customer expectations, all while streamlining the manufacturing process to achieve optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

 

The expected annual salary range for this role is $91500.03 - $134200.04 a year.

What you’ll do: Leads a team of engineers and technicians to control suppliers’ quality performance.Coordinates with divisional supplier quality group to evaluate performance ant follow up on DMTs.Monitors and analyze quality internal and external suppliers’ Quality performance.Inspect and test materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.Collaborate with operations managers to develop and implement controls and improvements.Collaborate with suppliers to ensure that all raw materials meet organizational quality standards.Interpret customer feedback for identifying flaws in manufactured goods and suggest/implement changes wherever needed.Monitor employee training and safety standards followed as a part of manufacturing process.Analyze and document potential issues in production process and design methods to fix them.Stay updated about the legal standards and regulations for manufactured products, parts, and subassemblies to ensure compliance to those standards.Improve customer satisfaction and brand loyalty through quality consistent products.Collate data and prepare quality reports to analyze external and internal supplier quality performance.Lead cross functional teams during root cause analysis events.Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering field from an accredited institutionMinimum 7 years of Quality or Manufacturing management experience.No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Waukesha, WI will be considered. Preferred Qualifications:

Understanding of problem-solving methodologies used in determining root cause and formulating corrective action(s) - i.e. thought maps, 8D, root cause analysis, Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis, control charts, Pareto charts, A3s, etcGB (green belt) or BB (black belt) certified.Experience with mathematic principlesCoordination and performance of internal process/product auditsProject Management experience on supplier development and PPAP processPart inspection, including layout, in process, final, and receiving using all types of mechanical inspection.Fundamental knowledge of electrical equipment at component and integrated system levels.Demonstrated ability to interpret regulation and standards, and implementing Electrical Safe Work practices such NFPA 70E.Demonstrated ability to interpret and trouble shoot electrical control, protection, instrumentation, and metering schematics and wiring diagrams.Experience supporting Engineered to Order (ETO) manufacturing plant.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

•    Position requires supporting operations 24/7, as worked out on collaborative team schedule of controls engineers & technicians.
