Job Summary
The Aerospace Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the quality
assurance processes within the aerospace manufacturing environment. This role
involves managing quality control personnel, ensuring compliance with industry
standards (such as AS9100), conducting audits, and implementing continuous
improvement initiatives to maintain the highest standards of product quality
and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management
- Supervise and mentor Quality Inspector staff, providing training and
development opportunities.
- Assist in quality objectives and ensure alignment with organizational
goals.
- Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement among
all employees.
Quality Control and Assurance
- Maintain quality assurance programs and procedures in compliance with
AS9100 and other relevant standards.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and assessments of processes, materials,
and products to ensure adherence to quality specifications.
-Assist in reviewing and analyzing quality data, identifying trends and
areas for improvement.
Documentation and Reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of quality processes,
inspections, and non-conformances.
- Assist in data collection for management review, highlighting key
metrics and areas for action.
- Maintain effective document control systems for quality-related
documentation.
Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement
-Assist in Material Review Board in determining root cause and disposition of
non-conforming material and customer complaints.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements
and enhance product quality.
- Administer quality improvement initiatives and track progress against
objectives.
Training and Compliance
- Ensure Quality Inspectors are trained and compliant with customer and
organizational needs.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards applicable
to the aerospace industry.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in quality
assurance practices.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require standing for long periods, conducting inspections
in various environments, and working closely with manufacturing teams.
- Occasional travel may be required for customer visits.
The pay scale for this position ranges from $95,000- $110,000 annually.
