Job Location: Buffalo Grove, IL

Title: Quality Supervisor

Duties: Lead and support quality audit activities for highly regulated products to ensure product compliance to specifications and industry standards. Lead team of 6-8 quality technicians/engineers on non-conformance and complaints through containment, root cause, corrective action and audits. Ensure continuous quality compliance, address quality issues, provide quality alerts, and lead containment when required. Serve as the primary contact for quality related issues. Lead response and actions associated with quality concerns. Create and maintain quality guidance for process readiness, including quality plans. Lead identification and maintenance of industry standard failure modes for inclusion in Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (“FMEA”). Lead continuous improvement efforts to improve yield and parts per million (“PPM”), reduce Cost of Quality, analyze quality metric data, and identify opportunities to reduce scrap and rework. Lead investigation and disposition for non-conforming material. Utilize Six Sigma, QMS, Regression Analysis, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Failure Analysis, AutoCAD, Visio, Solidworks, and 8D. Position requires up to 10% domestic travel for training or visits to customer sites.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, and 4 years of experience as a Quality Engineer or a related Process Engineering, Product Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering position. Experience must include:

4 years of quality engineering experience within an assembly or fabrication manufacturing environment for a highly regulated industry such as medical devices, automotive, defense, or aerospace, including developing, deploying, and sustaining processes in an ISO 13485, IATF 16949, or AS9100 manufacturing environment

4 years of experience in Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP)

3 years of experience in leading or supervising quality or engineering personnel

3 years of experience using 8D (Eight Disciplines) quality problem methodology

3 years of experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)

Completion of at least 2 projects using DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) methodology and 2 projects using DOE (Design of Experiment) processes.

Salary: $129,085 per year
