Quality Supervisor
**Job Title: Quality Supervisor** **Job Description** We are seeking a motivated and experienced Quality Supervisor to join our team at a Tier 1 Automotive Supplier. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supervising quality technicians within a stamping facility and be committed to ensuring the highest standards of product quality. **Responsibilities** + Supervise Quality Leader and 12+ Quality Technicians to ensure parts are free of defects. + Oversee the quality operations in Stamping Plants 1 & 3. + Create schedules for all shifts and authorize overtime hours to ensure continuity between shifts. + Handle scheduling for shifts, attendance, discipline, hiring, and firing. + Assist in the development of corrective actions, training, and coaching for the team. + Back up various department positions as needed. + Implement continuous improvement initiatives. + Collaborate with other quality departments including PPAP, CMM, and Audits. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years as a Supervisor in a Tier 1 automotive facility within the last 5 years. + 2+ years in a stamping facility as a quality tech or supervisor. + Proficiency in blueprint reading and knowledge of GD&T. + Experience with mics, calipers, and gages. + Ability to create schedules for all shifts and authorize overtime hours. + Strong supervisory skills including scheduling, attendance, discipline, hiring, and firing. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in the development of corrective actions, training, and coaching. + S.P.C. training and proficiency with Microsoft Office. + Ability to identify and troubleshoot stamping imperfections quickly. + Understanding of different imperfections in stamping and plastics. **Why Work Here?** We offer a supportive and dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth and advancement. Employees must wear work boots, hard sole shoes, and long pants; tank tops are not permitted. The facility includes 10 press lines (8 with PLCs and 2 with relay logic) and features Minster and Wayne Trail stamping presses up to 1,000 tons, as well as progressive and transfer operations. Plant 1 and 3 handle stamping, while Plant 2 has weld robots, spot welding, and resistant welding for making fasteners and studs. The work hours are 6am - 2:30pm/4:30pm, Monday - Friday, with some flexibility for coverage. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesterfield, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $36.00/hr.
